It's March Madness and our Spartan hopes are high for a win tonight against Northern Iowa!
Frank and Eric have been hard at work and produced both a finished stippled ceiling in the great room AND hot and cold running water in the bathroom, with a toilet that flushes! Yeah! I hope you can see the ceiling detail...the stipple technique saved us from sanding and drywall plastering the entire ceiling.
My wonderful husband has been hard at work most of the winter (with some help from Jerry and a little help from me)...He's been prepping interior walls for painting and he's managed to do some interior plastering...it's still pretty rough but he's used metal lathe to form the nice, rounded window and door frames that are so typical in straw bale homes. With the plastic on the windows and covering the doors, it sort of looks ghostly...but it will be great!
Easter will soon be here, bringing spring flowers, and chocolate bunnies. We hope you have a blessed day!
